Industrial production
The industrial sector accounts for almost a third of GDP, and industrial development in Morocco has helped to give its industries a good reputation all over the world.
Textile Industries, Morocco is the largest textile exporter in Europe. The chemical industry, Morocco accounts for 46% of the world's phosphoric acid requirement. The pharmaceutical industries, covering 90% of the internal needs of Morocco in medicines and exporting part abroad. Manufacture of cars, civil aircraft, military and ships.
The most important are the steel industries in Marrakech and Mauritania, the oil refining industry, gas, chemical industry and other industries such as the electrical and rubber industries. Consumer industries, the most important of which are the wood and furniture industry in Casablanca and the textile industry in Tangier, Agadir and the coasts.
